White Horse Temple

Built in AD 68, White Horse Temple is the first state-sponsored Buddhist temple in China, marking the introduction of Buddhism into the country. The temple's layout follows a traditional central axis, featuring five major halls. At its heart stands the Great Hall of Buddha, the primary site for Buddhist rites and ceremonies.

In modern times, a new "World Hall of Exposition" has been constructed beside White Horse Temple. This exhibition area showcases Buddhist architectural styles from India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Japan, and South Korea, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich diversity of Buddhist traditions across Asia.
